Pop superstar Prince who was all set to play Croke Park back in 2008 is set to return. A gamble by the promoter perhaps but a near guaranteed sell-out too which help balance the risk.
Last time he cancelled Croker and never gave a reason and told his people to tell Denis Desmond that “That Cat Can Chill” before eventually agreeing to just over 2m in damages and legal costs.
MCD booking him that time, this time around the brave souls are POD who will bring him to Malahide Castle in Dublin as part of his European tour. The 35,000 capacity venue will host the event on Saturday 30th July for a greatest hits show. Tickets from €89.50 for Prince’s Dublin show go on sale on Friday 27th May.
