“Intimate” and “The O2” don’t work together very often, however last night, the massive venue was arranged for something special. As the eager crowd of a few hundred people was led in to the area normally occupied by the stage,  the band take to a platform to pay some tracks accousticly from Only Revolutions anlong with older singalong favourites and a random B side.

God And Satan, Machines and The Captain all got an airing while between songs, lead singer Simon Neil slagged his band mates, announced the dedication of a song to “Bono’s back” and apologised they weren’t playing a full electric show.

However the bands return home to Scotland loomed, leaving no time for an encore, but a promise that they would be back in July for Oxegen.
