French indie electro outfit Phoenix has announced a world tour and hinted at the release of their as yet untitled 6th album.

However, one date in particular on that world tour will be of interest to Irish fans, especially if they have to tickets to Electric Picnic; as the group has revealed on their website that they will be playing in Stradbally on Saturday September 2nd despite not being listed on the festival’s own website.

The French group may be suave and sophisticated, but they’ve made the classic clichéd error of listing the Irish date as Dublin – Electric Picnic.
