Philip Chevron Testimonial Concert to be held in The Olympia

Phil Chevron, best known for his work with The Pogues and Radiators From Space, left the Irish music world shocked and saddened by the news that the cancer he has battled this last number of years has become terminal.

In the time-honoured football tradition of the Testimonial, Philip’s friends and colleagues have gathered together to put on this benefit gig in The Olympia.

Artists confirmed so far include Horslips, Luka Bloom, Declan O’Rourke, Brush Shiels, Shane MacGowan, Patrick McCabe, Gavin Friday, Duke Special with Fiona Shaw, Paul Brady, Joseph O’Connor, Mary Coughlan, Paul Cleary, Aidan Gillen, Fiachna Ó Braonáin & Liam Ó Maonlaí, Roddy Doyle, The Radiators from Space, Michael O’Connor and family, Terry Woods and Camille O’Sullivan.

In what promises to be a unique night, performers will offer their own work along with selections from Chevron’s own catalogue, including some items never heard before in public.
