Interpol’s enigmatic frontman Paul Banks, who went solo under the guise of Julian Plenti, before dropping it this year focusing on his actual name.

Apparently it was all about simplification he explains. “Julian Plenti was something that I had to do, but once it was done, I didn’t need to hold on to it. I’m just making music and hoping to let it speak for itself.” He will be over to play The Academy on Sunday 20th January 2013.

Tickets for the show are €30 inclusive of booking fee and are on sale from Friday 14th September 2012. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.

Support will come from Californian five piece, The Neighbourhood.

His latest album ‘Banks’ is out now.
