Earlier today Dublin label Paper Trail Records announced a compilation, ‘Thanks For Listening’, which hopes to raise awareness of World Mental Health Day tomorrow (October 10). Featuring an array of mainly exclusive tracks from critically-acclaimed artists across the world, all proceeds from the compilation will go to Console – Ireland’s National Suicide Charity.

Among others, the album will include brand new tracks from the likes of Perfect Pussy‘s Meredith Graves and New Yorker Eskimeaux, as well as the first new song from Maryland’s Teen Suicide in years. Closer to home, the compilation also includes a previously unheard track from Dublin electronic musician Simon Bird, and an exclusive remix from Lung Dart of former Plec Picks Cloud Castle Lake.

Speaking to GoldenPlec, label co-founder Dan Finnegan said of the album, “We’re lucky enough to have nice friends both at home and around the globe. Mental Health Day is something close to both myself and Jack’s heart, so we decided to extend an olive branch and ask some of our favourite bands for songs with the aim of compiling something for a worthwhile cause. Console do incredible work here in Ireland, and to be able to do something to help them is a privilege.”

Brimming with exciting talent, this isn’t an album to be missed – especially when it’s all for such a good cause.
