So as previously mentioned, Other Voices will be migrating to Derry / Londonderry on the 8th, 9th and 10th of February as part of the city celebrating City of Culture 2013.
So who can you expect to catch, well it’s fairly tasty so far. Marina and the Diamonds, Two Door Cinema Club, Savages, Bronagh Gallagher, Neil Hannon, Choice nominated Damien Dempsey, Soak and Jesca Hoop. More bands to be announced as January runs. All tickets for Other Voices in Derry / Londonderry will be given away through various competitions, raffles and giveaways.
If you’re in a band, you can apply to be part of the IMRO Other Room, starting today, head over to www.othervoices.ie and follow the link to the IMRO Open Call. Entries must be made by 8pm on the 18th of January 2013. To be in with a chance of appearing in the Other Room, acts must submit an original YouTube URL featuring an original sound recording. You do not have to have a professional music video, a still image with audio recording is sufficient.
A shortlist of three applications on the Other Voices website on the 25th of January 2013. On Feb 1st at 8pm the Viewer’s Choice will be announced and will play in Derry on February 11th.
