Having teased fans on their Facebook that there was a big announcement this morning, Oasis cleared the muddy waters for fans by confirming that they are set to celebrate their 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ by releasing a re-mastered edition of it.
The disc will include B-sides and rare track. The have said that “a series of major events to celebrate this milestone” will be announced next week, which leaves the barn door swinging wide open for an Oasis live reunion in 2014. We can only wait and see what gets unveiled next week. Fans are certainly hoping that the Glastonbury rumour will turn out to be true.
‘Definitely Maybe’, the band’s debut album, will be released on the 19th May, with ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ to follow later in the year. Each album will be made available as a special edition 3 CD set, heavyweight vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, and extremely limited deluxe box set (including both formats plus a 56 page hard back book, bonus 7” and exclusive memorabilia) as well as standard CD and digital formats. – Source Oasisnet
