Well it’s come and gone, the inaugural Northern Irish Music Awards. We wanted to be up there covering it but commitments prevented us making the trip. However via the medium of twitter you can tell all in attendance had an absolute ball.

One of the highlights for everyone seemed to be Tony Wright emotional and passionate last performance with ASIWYFA with Tony crowd surfing while playing at one point. It perhaps is the only awards show to ever have a circle pit which we were delighted to hear was going on. It was a strong show of support for the awards and hopefully this will be the first of many.

We’re quite pleased to see Cashier No.9s nod, great album. Two Door Cinema Club winning best band is no shock with them picking up the coveted Choice award back in March. Here are the winners in full.
