One of the best bands to emerge from Northern Ireland in quite some time Virgins, have shared a storming new 5-minute single ‘Softer’ ahead of the release of their debut album ‘nothing hurt and everything was beautiful’ on April 11th.

The Belfast based shoegaze outfit led by singer Rebecca Dow and guitarists Michael Smyth and David Sloan impressed with their debut EP ‘transmit a little heaven’ in 2022 and ‘Softer’ and recent single ‘Slowly, Long’ offer a tantalising glimpse into their upcoming album which will be available on a limited edition pressing of 300 starburst vinyl.

Those who pre-order the album via the band’s Bandcamp page will be treated to an instant download of an exclusive non-album track, ‘g l i s s’. A track that in the band’s own words, ‘is the bridge from the EP to the album, a sonic clue that nods to what came before but looks forward to what is about to come’.

The band will play two album launch parties in Dublin and Belfast to celebrate the release of ‘nothing hurt and everything was beautiful’.
