The North Strand Kontra Band have announced that they will play their first show of 2011 in The Workman’s Club early February. The seven piece from the Northside of Dublin (Northside 4 Life Yo) are largely influence by Romanian and Bulgarian traditional music. The support is from the energetic blues rock with influences from the likes of Chuck Berry and Led Zep, it’s a band called The Hot Sprockets
They will play the Workman’s on Friday 4th February and the show will be followed by DJ’s Davey Holland and Brian Harrington.
Tickets for the show are €10 with doors at 8.30pm till very late.
