So this year is the 55th Eurovision Song Content and will be held in Oslo in May

Niamh Kavanagh last night won a public vote on the Late Late show to be the Irish Entry at Eurovision this year.

The song “Its For You” (available on Itunes now) was written by a quartet of writers (Niall Mooney, Lina Eriksson, Jonas Gladnikoff, Marten Eriksson) and is the tune we are looking to maybe not to win it, but to restore some respectibility to the Irish entry having no qualified for the finals last year.

Hopefully this year we can finish high enough up the ladder to automatically qualify for the next year. Niamh has Eurovision Pedigree having won it in 1993.

Niamh will sing in the SECOND semi-final on Thursday 27th May and if we qualify she will sing again on Saturday the 29th for the title.
