It’s a good thing bands like Make Do And Mend exist. With their 2012 release (the excellent ‘Everything You Ever Loved’), they injected American punk-rock with a sense of passion, melody and, crucially, originality, elements that have sorely been lacking amid a sea of soundalike bands. Recalling their punk forebears Hot Water Music and Fugazi as much as the anthemic rock of Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World, they’re a band to remind you why nothing really beats some good, honest rock n’ roll.
Intrigued? Well you’re in luck. They’re set to play Fibbers in Dublin on March 23rd. Doors are at 7.30 and Pennsylvania’s Daylight (check out their very impressive new song here) and Dublin’s very own Starters, Driveway and Boardwalk round off a great line-up. Check out the event page here for more of the usual details.
