A new independent music promoter, Roadwork tours has just announced a series of dates to launch itself in the Irish market. Focusing on Irish folk and roots, it wil lbe looking to bring teh likes of Tom Russell, Mary Gauthier, Gurf Morlix and more to Dublin.

First up is Birds of Chicago, two compelling new voices of North American roots music, JT Nero and Allison Russell. Donegals Kate O’Callaghan will support for the dates towards the end of April which are

Third Smoke

Third Smoke are just about to release a brand new single ‘Peacock’ next month. They have lined up a few shows at the end of the month including four dates in the UK from Apri l1st to 4th before returning to Ireland to play Whelan’s on April 11th.

Wolf Regime

Hard rocking Irish act Wolf Regime have announced an Irish tour that will see them take in Kildare, Cork, Dublin, Louth, Limerick and Roscommon.

They have an album in the works and these dates will serve as a taster before the album launch in Dublin in October.

The Eskies

The Eskies are back in town for the first time since November 2012 when they dropped in for a date at The Grand Social.

They will play a pre-Paddy’s Day gig in The Grand Social once again on March 15th 2013. Joining them on the night will be The Rag and Bone Stomp & Markas Carcas. Tickets for this gig are just €5.
