Enemies
The awesome Enemies are getting ready to embark on an Irish tour to support the release of their new album ‘Embark, Embrace’ on May 10th.
They have dates in the Ruby Room in Castlebar supporting ASIWYFA before hitting Galway in the Roisin Dubh on May 16th and The Pavilion in Cork on May 18th. It’s then up north to Belfast to play The Speakeasy on May 23rd before an album launch night on May 25th in The Button Factory.
Joining them on stage that night for singing duties will be Conor Adams, Heathers and Oisin from Croupier as well as an extra keyboard and saxophone!

BIMM
The Brighton Institute of Modern Music Student v Lecturer ‘SPIN OFF’.
Odessa will play host this Thursday to a DJ spin off between Ollie Cole (BIMM Lecturer) and second year student Brendan McGlynn. The pair will face off on the decks following live sets from C and Blades Club. We’re promised funk, soul and rock n roll.
Doors: 9pm. Admission: €5.
Hurray For The Riff Raff
Rising roots talent from New Orleans, Hurray For The Riff Raff, will be over in Dublin at the start of next month to play a headline show in Whelan’s Upstairs.
The gig is on Tuesday 7th May 2013 in Upstairs at Whelans from 8pm. Tickets for the show are €10 available from Tickets.ie.
We Were Giants
Swords based We Were Giants, who’s EP Part One was rather enjoyed by our Nicola, are hard at work on Part 2 and are expecting to get something out over the summer. They are heading to Germany from August 13th-17th for a small tour but will be playing Indie Week Ireland to try win a chance to headline at Indie Week Canada.
The lineup for the night in Sweeneys on Friday April 26th includes Last Second Magic, Milk Baby, Purple Earth Theory, Dearly Beloved and I Saw The Deep on the ground floor and Hip-neck blues collective, We Were Giants, The Mad Violinist, Symphony Crack Orchestra, Burning Th eDay and Black Road.
Admission is FREE.
Huey and the HobGoblins
Huey And The Hobgoblins, a 12-piece band from the lovely suburbs of Drogheda. Wrapped tighter than a jammed burrito on a stage, they will be launched their latest single ‘I’ll Be Fine’ in McPhails on Friday 26th April.
They will then pack the stage at the Sugar Club, Dublin on Tuesday 30th April . The single will be available from digital download sources and all proceeds go straight to Pieta House.
