Five piece rock act from Dublin, Able Archer are the ashes of multiple different acts and bands over the last 10 years. They have come together to try create something new. Part one of the plan is a four track EP.

Before the EP though will be the first single, Superhuman which you can stream below. The single will be launched on Saturday 27th October in The Workmans Club. Support on the night will be from Soldiers Can’t Dance.Our first single is Superhuman available to download below. You can also listen to the other tracks from the ep on our website. We are launching the single on Saturday the 27th of October in the Workmans club with support from Soldiers Can’t Dance.

After that they have a few confirmed dates with The Plateau Sessions in The Workmans on November 20th, New Noise Session in the Hard Rock Cafe on October 22nd, Kenny’s Louge on November 24th and The Mercantile for Sunday Roast on Sunday 16th December.

The Mighty Stef announces November date

The Might Stef have been busy hopping around the U.S. and Europe, but will be home in Dublin for a show in the north-east.

They will play a headline show in McHughs Venue in Drogheda on Saturday 10th November. Tickets for the show are €10 and are on sale now. Support on the night will come from Cavan’s The Radioactive Grandma and Balbriggan’s The Ourz.

Girl Band

A new EP release for Dubliners Girl Band. It’s called the France 98 EP (Any Other City Records) and it is due for release on 9th November 2012 on 12” limited edition vinyl. Following its release, Girl Band will hit the road for a few dates.

On the tour plan is Limerick, Dublin, Galway and Cork. That final two are with Norwegian punk act Honningbarna. Tour dates below

Rachel Austin

Belfast based singer songwriter Rachel Austin is set to complete her Age Of.. Trilogy with the third and final installment ‘Age Of Reason’.

The EP is out on November 1st 2012 and will be warming up for that release with a headline show in Whelans on Friday 19th October. The first single from the final EP “Don’t Call Me” will be released as a free download from her website on Tuesday 23rd October.

If you want to head to the Whelan’s gig on Friday, doors are at 8pm and admission is €10.

Spook Of The Thirteenth Lock and Melodica Deathship

Whelan’s are organising a spooky Halloween with the announcement that on Wednesday 31st of October, they will play host to spooks and deathships.

That is, Spook of the Thirteenth Lock and their special guests Melodica Deathship who will play the Wexford st. venue on the night, fireworks guaranteed. Admission to the show is €10 inclusive of booking fee and you can buy tickets online from WavTickets.ie or call the WAV Box Office. Doors 8pm.
