Nina Nastasia to play The Workmans Club

O Emperor to support Spoon

Only just announced is that O Emperor will be supporting Spoon at their show in The Academy, Dublin tomorrow night (November 18th). A few tickets are still left if you fancy it. €25 they cost available from Ticketmaster and most likely on the door if the last few tickets don’t disappear.

Holy F*CK tickets still remaining

We’ve been informed by Whleans that there are a limited number of tickets still available to see Holy F*CK with Buck 65 in Whelans this Friday. Tickets are €18 and available from the WAV and Ticketmaster. The gig is Friday 19th November, Doors at 8pm.

The Phantom Band to play Whelans

Folk rockers The Phantom Band will be in Ireland in January to play a date in Whelans. They will play January 19th (Wednesday) with Doors at 8pm. Tickets cost €15 and will be going on sale Thursday 18th November.

The Wedding Present play Belfast too

Our bad, we didn’t pick up on this first time around but it appears as well as a Dublin date The Wedding Present will play The Stiff Kitten in Belfast on Sunday November 28th. Doors are at 9pm and tickets cost £15 and there’s still a few knocking about if your looking to go.

The Overview and Frantic Jack win RDS Battle of the Bands

The final of the iTab Battle of the Bands took place whittle down from just over 60 entries to a final 10 where the public voted for their favourite leaving 4 bands to battle it out in the RDS on Monday 15th November just gone at the Toys 4 Big Boys exhibition. The final four consisted of Autonomouse I, The Overview, Joly Bleedin Jaysus and Frantic Jack. The prize was recording time in Beechpark Studios, Dublin with Daire Winston, producer of Thin Lizzy and The Script to name but a few. The judges on the night half did a Cheryl Cole on it and instead of picking a winner decided that there was nothing between The Overview and Frantic jack and announced them co-winners.
