Just a quick roundup of todays news for everyone. Were off to help setup the Digital Socket Awards tonight. That’s on in the Grand Social with doors around 7.30pm and tickets cost €10 with the profits going to AWARE. There is only a limited number of tickets available on the door. There are still a few knocking around to buy online.

Belle and Sebastian hold charity raffle
In other important news Belle and Sebastian are set to hold a virtual raffle online to benefit the worthy charity that is CONCERN. The raffle costs €5 to enter and it puts your name in the draw. Winners of the raffle get a pair of tickets to see Belle and Sebastian in Barcelona at Primavera Sound Festival in May. Second and third place will win signed vinyl records and other band mementos.

Jason Clarke launches debut EP with Spring and Airbrake date
Belfast based singer songwriter Jason Clarke is set to release his debut EP entitled ‘SPARKS’ which is a four track EP showcasing Clarkes talents and influences which range from Michael Jackson to Sting to John Mayer. The EP is released on March 7th and two days before he will play a launch gig in Spring and Airbrake on March 5th. The EP should be available on iTunes and via Jason Clarkes website

Ane Brun announces Whelans date
Norwegian singer songwriter Ane Brun is coming to Dublin for a date in Whelans. She will perform live on November 12th 2011 with tickets costing €17 and they go on sale Monday February 7th at 9am via Ticketmaster.ie

Clare Maguire announces special Sugar Club date
One of the rising stars of 2011 Clare Maguire will be playing her first ever headline date in Ireland and will play in The Sugar Club, Dublin on Monday March 28th.
