It’s an exciting time for Galway’s finest purveyors of showgaze leaning indie pop, NewDad. Fresh from released their ‘Safe’ EP, the trio announced via their social channels that album number 2 was complete. And now they have announced fresh regional live dates for this winter details in Cork, Belfast and of course Galway, alongside their previously announced Halloween show in Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre.
The shows will features tracks from their Choice Music Prize nominated debut album ‘Madra’ and their breakthrough EPs as well as new material from the ‘Safe’ EP and their forthcoming album. The band will be joined on the dates by Sam Breathwick, aka Shrink, who collaborated with NewDad on the ‘Safe’ EP. Shrink will bring his studio magic to the stage on lead guitar and synths, further expanding NewDad’s ambitious sound.
The group will play Fuji Rocks this July ahead of shows in America this summer. The Galwegians will then hit mainland Europe and the UK throughout October, before returning to Ireland for four shows. Details below.
