Harry Crosbie has been given the permission to turn The Point Village into a Open Air Concerts, Outdoor Cinema and Weekend Market Area.

Right next to The O2 venue, There will be gigs and popular movies shown regularly with Crosbie aiming for huge footflow through the space.

There is also plans afoot to create a giant ferris wheel at the area too as another attraction to come down the docks to the village.

It apparently wont be permanent however, with the aim to make the space as useful as possible rather than let it lie un-used so a four year plan has been put in place to have gigs and events take place and small retail kiosks and stalls filling up the area.

Not surprising that the permission was easily granted with Dublin City Council a partner in the development of the area and they will use the facilities to produce community based events.
