A six-week lecture series on Irish music history will kick start on Tuesday 7 October at 6.15pm in the National Concert Hall. The speakers, which include Professor Harry White, Professor Gerard Gillen, Dr Kerry Houston, Dr Frank Lawrence, Dr Maria McHale, and Dr Gareth Cox, are derived from the highly established academic panel responsible for the recently published Encyclopaedia of Music in Ireland (EMIR).
With an impressive array of articles on all aspects of Irish music from the middle ages to the present day, this beautifully-presented volume is a must for any connoisseur of the arts.
