After five hotly contested heats and a quality wildcard playoff the line-up for the grand final of the Mike the Pies Battle of the Bands 2022 in association with Heineken is now complete.

The final will take place in Listowel’s legendary venue on Friday, 22nd July with the winners scooping the opportunity to record a single at Camden Recording Studios and have it released on Cork’s FIFA Records label.

The final line-up reflects the variety and quality that has been on display in all the heats so far. Those who’ve been lucky enough to make the final are Neon Cars from Cork, local band Questionable Plays, Limerick’s Abby Butler, Tralee act Queenless Kings, Leevy who hail from the Cork Gaeltacht, and yet another band from The Rebel County The Flavours.

They will face a panel of judges drawn from the music industry – including DJ Fergal D’Arcy, 8Radio’s John Loftus, leading Irish music lawyer Willie Ryan, Kerry Eye’s Audrey Reidy and sound engineer Rob Halkett – who will crown the eventual winners.
