Be a professional filmmaker at the Meteor Choice Music Prize with 45sound!
If you haven’t heard of 45sound and you’re in a band you’re missing a trick. It’s a fantastic way of using the footage from your gigs recorded by fans to create a cool video for your song, just using the audio from the sounddesk at your gig.
Meteor Choice Music Prize have been the genius of their style and have got them involved to turn you guys into the professional film makers. You record a video of your favourite acts at the Choice Music Prize gig in Vicar Street and upload it directly to 45sound. Just take out your phone, turn it sideways and record a minimum of 45 seconds, if not the entire song. After the gig heaqd to 45sound.com and upload the video by 12 noon on Friday 8th March.
All video’s uploaded by then will be in a draw for €500 and with such a short deadline you could be in with a great chance of that money by uploading. 45sound will take that video and turn it into a high quality video from multiple angles in the crowd mixed with audio from the sound desk. The best of both worlds. If your clip is featured your name will appear in the end credits.
Lisa Comerford, Meteor’s Head of Brand & Communications said: “Meteor is known for backing great Irish music, promoting both established and new acts. Getting behind an Irish music technology start-up with a pioneering offering feels really natural for us. We’re all about facilitating social discovery for people, be it new music, new experiences or new technology like the 45sound platform.”
Cathal Furey, 45sound Managing Director and Founder said: “Much in the same way the latest photo-sharing apps have made quality photography accessible to all, 45sound will democratise quality videography.
