Yes it’s true what your hearing. 10 years of Meteor Music Awards giving a red carpet affair to the best of Irish and International music has led to the organisers deciding to take a break and not produce a show this year.
So it sounds like it may return but they are not making promises just yet. The showcase has raised over 1 million for charities in it’s 10 years and raised the profile of some deserving Irish acts in its time.
The organisers wish to thank everyone involved and the fans who attended over the last 10 years for making it what it was. Fortunately for all you award lovers the Digital Socket Awards will be taking place on February 3rd in the Grand Social so keep an eye out for that, rumours of tickets going on sale soon.
