downloadTuesday April 23rd will see the appearance of the wonderful jazz duo, Marc Copland and John Abercrombie, arrive into the National Concert Hall for their only Irish show on this tour. Both hailed as masterful musicians, with unique styles and a special sensitivity to jazz that has allowed their partnership to flourish since it began in the early 1990’s.

A guitar and piano duo, both Copland and Abercrombie have proven themselves individually as musicians. Copland worked as a sidesman in New York, becoming involved with many musicians such as Bob Belden, Jane Ira Bloom, Joe Lovano, Tim Hagans, James Moody, Wallace Roney, as well as others, before he was spotted by the Savoy label. Abercrombie began with his involvement in breakthrough group Dreams, before moving to New York as a session musician, and working with names such as Gil Evans, Gato Barbieri, and Billy Cobham, before the pair joined forces.

This show begins at 8pm. Tickets for this event are priced at €25, and are available from www.nch.ie or at the NCH box office [Tel: 01 417000].
