Rap superstar Macklemore has announced two dates in Ireland this summer with shows confirmed for St. Anne’s Park in Dublin and Virgin Media Park in Cork with support from Rudimental. The multi platinum and Grammy award winning rapper shot to international stardom in the early 2010s thanks to smash hit singles ‘Thrift Shop’ and ‘Can’t Hold Us’ and has amassed over 20 billion streams globally in his career to date.
Macklemore turned himself into a mogul in the intervening years investing in lifestyle clothing brand Bogey Boys and co-ownership of Major League Soccer team Seattle Sounders and NHL team Seattle Kraken. In more recent times Macklemore’s output has taken a distinctly political turn calling out both the Biden and Trump administrations for American foreign policy regarding Israel and Palestine.
