Live at the Marquee is an annual music festival which takes place in Cork, Ireland spanning almost the entire summer, The first festival occurred in 2005 when Cork was the official European Capital of Culture. It has since grown into a huge yearly festival which has become synonymous with Cork.
Unlike other festivals, each gig is independent of the other so ticket prices vary across the board. The Event will run through June and July with top acts appearing down in Cork throughout for its 7th year.
This year we have some great acts including rockabilly superstar Imelda May who will play on June 23rd, X-Factor star in her own right Alexandra Burke will play the following day on June 24th and mainstay and all round legend Christy Moore makes another appearance on June 25th.
A major coup for the festival has to be Elton John and band playing on June 28th and then the final announcement for now is The Bellies, Bell X1 will be playin on July 1st. All the details are below.
