They have been squirrelled away writing brand new music and album two is on the horizon. The first single to be lifted from the album will be called Honest.
The single is coming out on January 30th 2015. It’s heavier, harder but still retains that Kodaline sound that has them relentlessly on your radio waves. Kodaline’s ascent to the top of the indie-pop demesne continues.
Their new album ‘Coming Up For Air’ is set for release on February 6th 2015.
“Jacknife opened our eyes to different ways of working,” explains Jason Boland on working with producer Jacknife Lee. “He gave us a lesson in experimentation. The way he records is amazing. He has everything in the studio turned on, synths all over the place, instruments everywhere. If you want to play something, you pick it up.”
“They were used to working in a different way than I do but were brave enough to try something new, out of their comfort zone,” said Jacknife Lee.
