The return and rebirth of the Liss Ard Festival in Skibereen, West Cork has been further bolstered today with the announcement of Joan as Policewoman to the lineup.
The festival takes place on the Liss ard Estate on Saturdya 4th and Sunday 5th August (competing with Castlepalooza and Indiependence in a tough weekend) and today they addeded Joan as Policewoman to the string of acts already announced which include Chic, Toots & The Maytals, Mick Flannery, Lisa Hannigan, Paul Buchanan, Bob Mould, The Macrae Sisters, Tieranniesaur, Rhob Cunningham, Interference, West Cork Ukulele Orchestra and more to be announced.
There will also be a literary stage held over the weekend with plenty of intriguing conversation to be had. Food wise you can expect the West Cork food movement to provide some cracking treats from wood fired pizzas to barbecued meats and veg stews, cheeses, smoked fish, baked goods and more.
Tickets for the festival are still on earlybird till they sell out so weekend camping is €69.50 and weekend no camping is €50.50 with a day pass costing €30.50. If you miss the early birds passes, the tickets revert to €90.50, €70.50 and €39.50 respectively.
