A new festival culminating with 3-days of livestream events is coming to Doolin between 14-20 December. Hibernacle will bring Lisa Hannigan, Æ MAK, Saint Sister, Paul Noonan (Bell X1) and Brian Mac Glionn (Ye Vagabonds) and 14 others acts to West Cork for: “a week of connection, local discovery, food collaborations and musical celebration in the wilds of Doolin.”

“An inspiring space will be created to collaborate, connect and create. The story & performances will be documented, shared and broadcast via live stream over 3 days, giving a window into this unique adventure.”

Hibernacle is a bygone word for a Winter Retreat or a protective covering or space. “In a year when we all have been isolated from each other and collaborating, connecting, sharing songs and ideas has been difficult for artists, Hibernacle will set up in Doolin in bright, airy and spacious spaces, allowing artists to connect in a socially distant setting to create together safely and finish 2020 with fresh inspiration.”

Full list of artists, activities, scheduling, info on live streaming tickets and further details of Hibernacle to follow soon. This project has been part-funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht Sport and Media from the Live Performance Support Scheme.
