Having amassed over 4.5 million streams on Spotify in 2020, winning a songwriting competition judged by Coldplay and Dua Lipa, and finding viral success on Tik-Tok, Lenii has brought her 2020 to a close with the release of the music video for ‘SLIP’. This will be the final music video from her debut EP ‘In All Fairness’, released in September.

Of the track, Lenii remarks, “I wrote, produced & mixed the song one night in LA when I was just RAGING at how much harder I feel women need to work to be respected, not just in music but in whatever we do. I have been told I should “eat less” on video shoots, told that I have until I’m 24 to “make it”, have been taken to bedrooms (multiple) when the “studio’s locked”, and have had men stop working with me when I didn’t want to date them. I was never really vocal about it because 1. I’m a ‘lil shy, and 2. I thought it was talked about enough – but then I read this thing that said “if you’re sick of hearing about sexism, imagine how sick you’d be of experiencing it”. I lit the room up in dark red and just let it all out on the track. SO – here is my boss bitch, snake licking, tea spilling video for my baby ‘SLIP’.”
