Kynsy has announced details of her second EP ‘Something To Do With Love’ featuring the singles New Year, Point of You and her most experimental track to date Love of Your Life.
“Love of your Life is an expression of that feeling and thought process you go through when you first meet someone you really like. When you’re in the early stages of infatuation with them and you fantasise over what the two of you could possibly become in the future,” explains Kynsy, of the sweeping, glitchy ballad.
‘Something To Do With Love’ was co-produced with Alt-J regular Charlie Andrew, who worked with Kynsy in Dalston’s Old Workshop, where Alt-J regularly record. Kynsy describes the EP as being “direct” and “about pleasure and joy and confusion.”
“Every song I gave to Charlie, he was like, ‘How can we make this weirder?’” Kynsy says of their collaboration, and if ‘Love of your Life‘ is anything to go by, weirder is exactly where they landed.
