Ahead of the release of Kojaque’s debut album ‘Town’s Dead’ next month Soft Boy Records’ head honcho has shared Wickid Tongues a late night tale of romantic paranoia.

Wickid Tongues finds Kojaque trying not to get swept away by falling in love too quickly with somebody and facing up to the uneasy feelings which can manifest themselves in unpredictable ways. The track features a cameo from Biig Piig leaving a voicemail which lights the fuse on the track.

As Kojaque explains, Wickid Tongues is about “falling too deeply in love with someone a little too fast, and how that can play with your head and make you paranoid. It can be quite hard to build trust early on in any relationship, if you’re not careful I feel it’s easy for your thoughts to run away with you and you become suspicious when there might not be anything wrong.”

Wickid Tongues features Kojaque’s trademark blend of jazzy keys, strings and layers of saxophone with a light, sprightly beat which is the perfect weaving accompaniment for Kojaque’s busy thought process throughout the track.
