Hotly tipped Kilkenny act The Wha have shared their debut single Innocents, a paean to growing up, the Catholic Church’s well-documented scandals and addiction.
The Wha are dual vocalists and guitarists Finn Cusack and Sam Cullen, joined by Marek Lech (bass) and Abe G. Harris (drums), the quartet, who are all aged just 18-years-old are the latest Irish act to be picked up by an UK label, recently signed to Chess Club Records current home to Alfie Templeman, Bloxx, Phoebe Green and Limerick’s Sinead O’Brien.
The Wha are set to hit the road supporting Fur and Two Door Cinema Club on their upcoming Irish dates. The Wha will also be appearing at The Cosby Tent at Electric Picnic on Sunday at 3.30pm and at 9.20pm on The Salty Dog stage.
