Katie & The Carnival hailing from up in Belfast are set to release their lovely new single ‘Fancy Face’.

The track starts with an eerie ghost like sounding or perhaps a better description might be many voices in your head rambling around before kicking in with a style of tune that wouldn’t be out of place on a Paloma Faith album. The vocals keep you hooked with the catchy refrains of ba-dum.

If this single is anything to go by, there is potential for a quality album. The single Fancy Face coming out via iTunes on November 1st and they will be hitting the mean streets and venues around Ireland to promote it. The debut album is expected in the new year.

Live dates include Oxjam in Dublin on October 30th, a trip up home to play Ulster Hall with Foy Vance and friend at the single launch on November 1st and then hitting The Limelight for an acoustic gig on November 5th, McHughs in Belfast on November 17th and Black Box on Dec 5th as they hit up most Belfast venues, finally they will play The Cafe Sessions in Cavan on December 8th.
