Dundalk five-piece Just Mustard have returned with their first new music in three years, ‘POLLYANNA’, which sees them lean into their shoegaze influences like never before, delivering a tantalising glimpse into their next chapter. Partially inspired by a sense of “toxic happiness” the hypnotic, taunt track sees singer Katie Ball take the limelight with her vocals pushed higher in the mix than ever before.
‘Pollyanna’ is paired with an unnerving CCTV styled video directed by Katie Ball. “We shot the video using different CCTV and VHS cameras around our hometown Dundalk trying to have as much fun as possible, the kind of fun that makes you feel sick almost instantly which suits the themes of the song,” explains Ball of her DIY powered visual companion piece.
The band will follow-up ‘Pollyanna’ with select festival dates this summer including Electric picnic, Green Man Festival in Wales and a US date at Seisiún Festival in Boston as well as a small series of headline shows. Bring on album 3.
