If you remember back two weeks ago we announced that a new music festival for the west of the country had been announced in the form of Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts.
The festival will be a two day event with three stages and over 50 international and Irish acts. The festival will take place between Saturday 23rd June and Sunday 24th June 2012. Added to the lineup will be Jools Holland, Imelda May, Macy Gray, Royseven, The Undertones, Rocco DeLuca and The Lost Brothers
We already announced that former Kinks frontman Ray Davies, The Waterboys,Seasick Steve, Alison Moyet, Nick Lowe, The Dubliners, Mundy, Hothouse Flowers,Tom Baxter, Damien Dempsey, Lloyd Coke and Duke Special.
More acts to be added, the festival will be set in Westport House in Westport, Co. Mayo, on the grounds of a 400 acre site. Tickets for the event are €75 inclusive of booking fee for a day tickets (Saturday or Sunday) or €130 for a weekend pass. Under 12?s go free when accompanied by a ticket holder over 18 years of age.
