Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood will be premiering a new orchestral piece in Dublin’s National Concert Hall this Autumn as part of the venue’s International Concert Series. The piece, entitled Water, will be performed by the Australian Chamber Orchestra on 2 October with Richard Tognetti conducting.
Greenwood made his name as the experimental guitarist with Radiohead, but has been composing classical pieces alongside his work in the band, including some acclaimed work scoring films such as There Will Be Blood and The Master.
A video appeared online earlier in the year of Greenwood performing original piece Loop with the London Contemporary Orchestra. No word yet as to whether Greenwood will be performing on the night in October.
