Noughties alt-rock survivors Jimmy Eat World are set to return to Ireland for the first time in nine years. Celebrating over 30 years and 10 albums together the Arizonian rock band will bring their European tour, to Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre this June
Having been dropped following the disappointing sales of their album Clarity in 1999, the group shot to fame in 2001 when their 4th album Bleed American’s singles The Middle, Sweetness and Bleed American caught fire on MTV. The Middle would go on to become one of the most enduring hits of its era recently joining the Billions Club on Spotify.
Recently, they’ve released two independent singles, “Something Loud” and “Place Your Debts,” with the former charting 21 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay.
Jimmy Eat World will be joined on the night by Montreal rock power trio Les Shirley. Their debut EP and first album Forever Is Now earned critical acclaim, with singles like “Fuck It I’m in Love” gaining significant airplay. Their sophomore album, More is More, received an ADISQ nomination for Anglophone Album of the Year, solidifying their place as a powerhouse in the Canadian music scene.
Jimmy Eat World at 3Olympia Theatre on 10th June 2025. Tickets from €40.70 including booking fees on sale Friday 31st January at 10AM
