The enduring and charming Jerry Fish has taken some time out from recording his new album which is largely expected at the end of the summer, to create a brand new version of Celebrate. The new version is produced by Gavin Glass and will be released as a digital download on June 29th.
Celebrate was first recorded in 1989 by An Emotional Fish. Working on the track again Jerry had this to say about it
“Creating a version of Celebrate for the 21st Century has been a lot of fun. It’s a song that just won’t go away and it seemed crazy to me that such a popular song was not available to buy anywhere. Performing at the Barretstown fundraiser in The Olympia earlier this year made me realise how much the song means to a great many people, so here it is for another generation in aid of Barretstown”.
All proceeeds from the Irish sales in 2012 will be donated to Barretstown. You can download the track on iTunes or www.jerry-fish.com.
