Jeff Wayne’s War Of The Worlds, the musical version is coming back to Dublin for another huge show in 2012.

Last time it was a visual spectacle as our man Dave Quinn witnessed and reviewed when War of the Worlds played The O2 in 2010 and now they are coming back with a new generation of cast and technology.

This time around Liam Neeson will feature as a 3D holograph in the role as George Herbert, The Journalist as the story’s narrator and leading a new cast. Neeson will be integrated into the show in three ways, appearing as full body hologram appearing on stage and interacting with live actors (a first for stage performance), as an 11 foot high holographic head hovering above the stage and appearing within the two hour CGI film projected onto the incredible 100 foot ‘animation wall’.

It truly sound epic and with a new double album coming in June 2012 just before the show hits Dublin on 29th November 2012 for the spectacular in The O2. Tickets for the show go on sale on 25th November and will cost you €34 to €60 depending on seating.
