On a live performance on T4 On the Beach which took place yesterday Edward from Jedward planted a foot awkwardly and fell to the ground. To his eternal credit, he didn’t moan, lie down, refuse to move, shed a tear. He continued on with the performance as best he could, hopping and hobbling along.

That kind of dedication has garnered new respect from me and considering the amount of gigs they have coming up starting in Dublin’s Vicar Street August 4th, going through Omagh, Drogheda, Dungannon, Dublin again, Kilkenny, Limerick, Cork, Galway, Letterkenny, Derry and Belfast finishing there on August 22nd. They have a beast of a tour on their hands.

Louis Walsh was quoted as saying the following to help allay the fears of their fans

“Following a fall during a performance at T4 On The Beach this Sunday we can confirm that Edward has torn his knee ligaments and will require surgery on his injuries. He is expected to make a quick recovery and Jedward are determined to see out their album promotion and Irish tour commitments.”
