Well well well. First of all, we are in bits, bit of a party afterwards which went on far too late for someone in work the next day and it was still going when I left. Less about after and more about that actual awards. Who thought we would be leaving last night with Richie Egan and his band creating history as the first band ever to win TWO Choice Music Prize.
Before the event, we had nailed our thoughts to the cross, that we had our money on the lovely Lisa Hannigan for the award, however we did have Ocean Of Frequency in our top three so we cannot say we are surprised that he has walked away with it for the second time.
A big congratulations to Jape. Making History in Ireland before moving to Sweden, He has a final gig in Ireland (for now) on the 16th so do drop in on that. Also a congratulations to Royseven who’s massive radio play turned into votes and they walked away with the Song Of The Year title for We Should Be Lovers.
