As part of ‘The Legacy Of The Beast Tour’, which was originally set to go ahead this year but has been postponed until 2022, Iron Maiden will headline Belfast’s Belsonic festival in Ormeau Park. One of the most revered heavy metal bands the genre has to offer, the announcement comes as welcome news to fans in Northern Ireland who had tickets to the group’s postponed 2021 dates.

“Naturally, the band are hugely disappointed, a second summer without touring, especially with this very special legacy show – it’s very hard to take,” said manager Ron Smallwood on the postponement.

“They send their best wishes to you all, knowing full well you fans feel the same. As we all know, realistically there is no alternative so we will all make the best of it and spend the time preparing for a very memorable and even more spectacular legacy tour next year we promise! Until then keep safe and smart.”

The group performed in Belfast’s SSE Arena in the first year of the ongoing ‘Legacy’ tour which saw the band playing a setlist comprised mainly of their classic 1980’s material.

Iron Maiden will return to the city for Belsonic on 13 June, 2022. Ticket go on sale Friday 16 April at 9am from Ticketmaster
