It’s another Friday which can mean only one thing lashings of new Irish music and this week is a strong week with brand new releases from Biig Piig, Orla Gartland, Lydia Ford, and Eiza Murphy.
Ra Gerra which combines the talents of MuRli and Kobina deliver ‘Pressure’. Sal Stapleton continues to impress with new project ALYXIS on ‘Mine’, while NEOMADIC return for ‘Waves’ a collab with the one and only Shiv.
It’s a big day for the boys, Local Boy returns with ‘Thoughts’ while Limerick’s Strange Boy shares ‘Return from his upcoming debut album ‘Holy/Unholy’. Meanwhile, Fears shares ‘Fabric’ the third single from her debut album ‘Oíche’.
A92’s ‘Bite’ will no doubt see the collective continue to amass another couple of million streams as they quietly becoming one of the biggest acts in the country. As ever there’s a slab of new hip hop tracks including releases from Shakalak, RUNOFFBROKE, 2e, Active, Ugolino, Elephant Pillowed & Anatu, Caleb Kunle & K the Infinite, Sanie Bega & III.A
It wouldn’t be Ireland without a selection of folk and singer songwriter tracks and Sun Collective lead the way with an impressive mix of folk and classical stylings on Ogham Scars, while Joshua Burnside ponders the meaning of it all on ‘Higher Places’, and Adrian Crowley previews his new album ‘The Watchful Eye Of The Stars’ with the excellent ‘Bread and Wine’.
