On this week’s bumper round-up of the Best new Irish music we give you the album of the week ‘For Those I Love’ which some people have already decided will be crowned Choice Music Prize album of the year 2021. We hope those people are wrong because if they are it means we are in for one hell of a year for Irish music. Cathal Coughlan returns with his first solo album in an age and Myles O’Reilly moves from behind the camera to present his debut album as Indistinct Chatter, while Northern Ireland composer extraordinaire Hanna Peel has dropped her new album ‘Fir Waves’
Ireland’s best new band NewDad share their debut EP ‘Waves’ alongside notable new EPs from Josh McClorey, Conor Scott, Host and Æ Mak. And if that wasn’t enough joy for your ears this week also sees the return of Saint Sister and Soda Blonde with lead singles from their upcoming albums – 2021 is really shaping up nicely.
This week’s most impressive debut single comes from Lemonade Shoelace in the shape of Autopilot Paradise, other notable singles come from crooner Cian Ducrot and Plec Pick 2021 act Lucy Gaffney returns with Star Sign Lover and Fionn Regan treats us to The Scene Is Dead.
In fact, there’s so much good quality Irish music that we’d be here all day if we tried to mention everybody.
If you’d like to send us your music please fill in the form here – Please ensure you put the release date in and not your birthday as we won’t send you cake :)
