In what could very well be the last round-up of new Irish music in 2020 we bring you bodies of work from A92, Patricia Lalor, Mark Loghrey, Fires. and a cover album of Radiohead’s first classic album ‘The Bends’ by Rosie Carney.

It’s been a big week for hip hop with Kojaque dropping the epic video for ‘Coming Up’ and Kneecap making a powerful and poignant dedication with the proceeds from their new single ‘Mam’ going to the Samaritans.

Son returns with ‘Almost’ following her powerful performance at Other Voices, James Vincent McMorrow delivers a stripped down version of his latest single ‘Gone’ also on the acoustic buzz is St. Bishop with a new version of  ‘Dreaming’ and Jackie Beverley with a stripped down version of ‘Sea Glass’, and RuthAnne shares an acoustic version of ‘Remember This’ while Anna Mullarkey delivers a version of ‘To The Island’ sung in English.

Somebody’s Child rounds off a fruitful year with ‘Lost’, while Moncrieff is ‘Sad and Horny’ (sure aren’t we all lad, sure aren’t we all) and Apella make a comeback with their first new song in two years ‘Point of View. Mark Geary continues to preview his forthcoming album with new single ‘Spectre’ and Conchur White covers Townes Van Zandt’s ‘Lungs’.

As ever the Irish hip hop and R’N’B scenes are buzzing with new releases from wtr, Citrus Fresh, Gaff, Caleb & Walshy, 1000 Beasts, Maverick Sabre, ScareDaCat and Forza.

All this plus tracks fromRoisin Murphy, Aislinn Logan, O’Sullivan, Eiffe, alex Konchar,  Chrononaut, Stupid Son, John Winters, Brad Heidi, Ears Have Walls, Ejeca, Chaya, Lo, Chris Kabs and John and The Apocalypse.
