It’s Friday, which can mean only one thing a glorious new batch of tunes for you to enjoy today, tomorrow and hopefully some for the rest of your life. This week sees the return of Mr smooth himself Jafaris an obvious choice then to be this week’s cover star.

We’ve added over 30 tracks to the playlist this week and we are delighted to say that over half of them are by female acts including Pillow Queens, Efé, Lydia Ford, Jess Young, Flavia, Rosie Carney, Brigid Mae Power, Roisin El Cherif, Willow Hannon, Alicia Raye, Carrie Baxter, Susie Blue, Coolgirl, Everything Shook, Meljoann and Zapho, Tulü Makay and Jenny Browne fly the flag for the brand new X Collective roster.

This week’s playlist also features hip hop from 7th Obi, Hare Squead, Ghostking Is Dead, Tebi Rex, Jordan Adetunji, Runoffbroke. Fontaines D.C. meanwhile give us another glimpse into their upcoming second album while The likes of The Clockworks, Columbia Mills and Kodaline return with new material.
