This week’s round-up of the best new Irish music features the return of heavy hitters Dermot Kennedy, Grammy-winning Cian Ducrot, pop behemoths Picture This and Snow Patrol who have shared the deluxe version of their ‘Forest Is The Path’ album.

Florence Road make their major label debut with ‘Heavy’ as do Cork’s Cliffords with their latest single ‘Bittersweet’ while Somebody’s Child gear up for the release of their next album with ‘Porcelain (Losing All My Patience)’ as do Soda Blonde with their latest track ‘The Queen of Mercy’ and busking sensation Allie Sherlock delivers her latest original ‘The Greatest’.

NI music legend David Holmes delivers the OST for Michael Fastbender’s latest movie Black Bag. And speaking of Irish music OG’s, New Jackson and Jape connect on ‘Metamorphosis’, while Yune Pinku lands another notable remix this time reimagining Kelly Lee Owens’ Dreamstate.

Songwriting supercomputer Paddy Hanna previews his latest album with the Phil Collins tinged Harry Dean, while hotly tipped act Bold Love deliver their finest moment yet ‘Talking & Drifting’. It’s great to have the venerable J Smith back with ‘Tattoos For Fun’. The Guilteens impress with their dirgy new single ‘Further Down The Channel’.

It’s also nice to see some Irish language tracks on the playlist this week with Eve Belle and Imlé and And He, The Fool all getting in on the action.

Aad if that wasn’t enough to contend with this Bank Holiday Weekend there’s also new tunes from Search Results, Fiona Lucia, Meljoann, Vi0let, Vaelin, Glasseyed and Danny Groenland for your consideration.
