This week’s round-up of the best new Irish music features murder most majestic courtesy of the debut album from folk supergroup ØXN, Kojaque proves once again that he is the most consistent force in Irish hip hop with latest album ‘Phantom of the Afters’, while Orla Gartland’s merry band of pranksters FIZZ  deliver their marvellously fun debut ‘The Secret To Life’

Naoise Roo delivers ‘Emotionally Magnificent’ the long-awaited follow-up to her excellent 2019 album ‘Lilith’, while Irish Drill breakout star Offica, delivers his debut solo album ‘Hokage Part 1’. Also on the debut release buzz are NI punks Problem Patterns (Blouse Club), while prolific electronic artist Moon Paw Print returns with ‘Waterways, Ireland!’.

Belfast DJ Jordan Nocturne delivers his ‘Dolly’ EP, while Fortune Igiebor follows up his notable recent single ‘Walk Without My Old Cain’ with the ‘Handle With Care’ EP. Singer songwriter Seamus Fogarty returns with the ‘Hee Haw’ EP his first collection since 2020’s A Bag Of Eyes’.

Fresh  from selling bucket-loads of tickets to his massive Irish outdoor shows next summer, Niall Horan hooks up with Grammy-nominated superstar in waiting Lizzy McAlpine for ‘You Could Start A Cult’ while The Scratch build towards the release of their new album Mind Yourself with the release of ‘Cheeky Bastard’ which sees them leaning into their rock roots.

Following the success of her recent collab with Hot Chip, Yune Pinku returns under her own steam with the glitchy ‘Killing Bee’, while Bella Union signee Conchúr White proves why is so hotly tipped in folk circles with ‘Rivers’.  Belters Only and Jazzy will be hoping to catch lightning in a bottle once again with their latest collab ‘Life Lesson’ while Levi Evans continues to carve his own mark in the alt pop world with ‘Complicated’.

Also attempting to capitalise on previous success are Cian Ducrot and Ella Henderson who are back with ‘Rest Of Our Days’, while newcomers Elaphi impress with their shoegaze tinged pop/rock vibes of their debut single’Diamond Walls’. Veteran electro artist Elaine Mai, meanwhile, hooks with soft centre for ‘The Moment’, while Ailbhe Reddy guests on James J Clarke’s debut single ‘The Dark of Night’ and pop act Kyla Belle kicks off their music career with ‘I Need’.
